27/07/2018 – UCD Confucius

Glazing works are finally complete at the 2,000m² UCD Confucius building, MAF have been working on this project for over a year. The €12.2 million landmark building is located in the heart of the UCD campus and is the first purpose-built centre to house a Confucius Institute in Ireland. The design is influenced both by Chinese courtyard buildings and cloisters found in western architecture, where learning and contemplation are often linked with the ritual of walking.
